WAGER (Wall Magazine of English Literature)

Wall Magazine of English Literature (WAGER) is one of work from Journalistic Department of Himapro-SI. It is one of the routine programs in every period. Through this WAGER, the member can express their creativity and crazy experiment that form on WAGER. On our WAGER, we can stamp information about scholarship, seminar, and some events of Himapro-SI. WAGER was adhered on the left-side wall of second floor lobby of Multimedia B Building. We think that this place is one of strategies place to reader to read and get information from our WAGER. Himapro-SI Member Workshop 2014

Member workshop was general program that held by 3 department which were all of the member of Himapro-SI had to follow this activity. This activity has taken for about 3 days at May, 9th-11st 2014 in the place DPW PKB, Surabaya. We can got many new knowledge from this activity because the materials was related with our programs. The materials such as how to be a creative teacher, self-management, MBKT, journalistic, news anchor, lobbying, graphic design, and general discussion with KSA (Kampung Sahabat Anak). From all of those materials we could get knowledge that useful for us.

Blood Drive: 350ml for Humanity

Himapro-SI has gave a social program to the students of our major “SastraInggris” through donating our blood to the people who needed. This activity was held twice and will be routinely every period of HRD’s program. The coordinator of HRD was did MOU with PMII to declaration that Himapro-SI become constantly volunteer for PMII. Alhamdulillah, this program got a good appreciation from the chief of our department and also all students in our campus. When we held this program not only the students of our major but also another students from other faculty followed this program. Hopefully, ‘350 ml untukSahabat’ will help them who need our blood.

HIMAPRO-SI: "Creative Menulis, Rejeki Tak Akan Habis" with Raditya Dika (Reportase)

Himapro-SI always wants to makes our English Department become a famous major outside of our university. We prove it through an event that we held on 24th May 2014 inside our campus. “Talk Show with Raditya Dika with theme Creative Writing” was an event that planed by Journalistic Department Himapro-SI. The participant of that event was free for public who has card student or other identity. Alhamdulillah, our hard work of all committee for about one month gave a good result. We can got 519 participants just for about two weeks. Alif Fatqul Hikmah as the chief executive said that the purpose of this event was to increase our skill in writing, in order to grow up many young writers like Raditya Dika. “We know that Raditya Dika is multitalented man, not only in writing but also another skill like as an actor, director, and comedian. I hope he can inspire us from his experience”, added Alif. The event began promptly at 12:00 a.m. but the participants have arrived for about three

World Book Day (WBD) Celebration: Yayasan Pengembangan Perpustakaan Indonesia ft. Himapro-SI and Various.

World Book Day or we can called WBD was an event that held by YPPI (Yayasan Pengembangan Perpustakaan Indonesia). This event occurred on April, 20 2014 in Balai Kota, Surabaya. WBD was a great show because there were 1.000 students from elementary school danced with brought a book in their hand. Mrs. Risma as a mayor of Surabaya also attended in there and gave a prestigious achievement “Muri Record” to the YPPI because they can held this great show that never held before. It was an awesome event, because some delegation of Himapro-SI and EDC (English Dance Community) were volunteer and joined to become the committee in that event. Himapro-SI as one of the representative from our campus UINSA and we are happy because we can add new friend from the community like KSA (Kampung Sahabat Anak), Surabaya Menyala and other university such as STIKOM, UNAIR, and UNESA. SIM-C! (Sastra Inggris Mengajar - Cak!)

Sastra Inggris Mengajar-Cak!! Maybe some of you ever or often hear that or maybe you have been join on this program? SIM-C is education program to the children in elementary school. This program has been going on almost two years until now. There is a place near At-Taqwa mosque at Wonocolo gg 2 which in use as study place for them every week day at 7.00p.m to 8.00p.m.. We want to prove that not only students who have education major can teach but also we are as students “Sastra Inggris” can teach and sharing of our knowledge to another people. All of students of our major can join to be a tutor in this program. So that we are waiting all of you who want to explore your skill in this program. Circumstances of SIM-C's moment
