The Great Gatsby was the second movie that presented to analyzed in the second Lit.Nite (Literature Night) program. This program was backed-up by the Networking division of HIMAPRO-SI.
There was slightly different from the second LitNite like the rule of this program, selection of the movie, and the location. In the previous LitNite we analyzed "The Phantom of the Opera" which attended a speaker (Mr. Sofyan) to gave his review. But, in this second LitNite did not attend a speaker. "We do not attend a speaker in the second LitNite, because we want to put forward a review of the viewer," said Nurvian Permana as a chief committee of this program. Not only from the speaker but also from the selection of the movie.

The Great Gatsby was the box office movie that was selected by the expectations of viewers who wanted a box office movie. Still in the same previous LitNite, The Great Gatsby also romantic movie. Then, the location that makes a different, because the first LitNite took place in front of the Multimedia B building, but in the second LitNite the located behind the building of Multimedia B.
The Great Gatsby was an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name, the movie was co - written and directed by Baz Luhrmann. That movie tells the story about love, life and times of millionaire Jay Gatsby and his neighbor Nick. Firstly, Nick is the main character who become an opium alcohol until he depression because his neighbor Gatsby was died. The movie uses flash back plot in the story. Begin from the character of Gatsby who is a poor man that really loves her girl friend (Daisy). Shortly, he struggle for 5 years in his life until he becomes a rich man then will marry Daisy. Unfortunately, his sacrifice was useless because Daisy was married with another man (Tom). It is a complicated love and the end with Gatsby’s died that was shouted by a man.
